• The replacement cycle of the water filter element of the waterjet machine is affected by many factors. The following are some common reference situations:

• Water quality: If high-quality pure water that has been pre-treated is used, there are fewer impurities in the water, and the clogging speed of the water filter element will be relatively slow, and the replacement cycle can be appropriately extended, generally every 3-6 months. However, if ordinary tap water is used, and the water quality is hard or contains more impurities, the water filter element may need to be replaced every 1-3 months to ensure its filtering effect and the accuracy of waterjet cutting.

• Machine use frequency: If the waterjet machine is used frequently, the filtering burden of the water filter element will increase, and the replacement cycle should be shortened accordingly. For example, for a waterjet machine that is used for a long time every day, the water filter element may need to be replaced every 1-2 months; if it is used less frequently per week and the usage time is also shorter, the replacement cycle of the water filter element can be extended to 3-6 months.

• Filter element type and quality: The filtering effect and service life of water filters of different types and qualities are also different. Filter elements with better quality and higher filtering accuracy may have a longer service life than ordinary filter elements under the same conditions of use. For example, the replacement cycle of a filtration system that uses a combination of high-precision PP cotton filter and activated carbon filter may be longer than that of a single PP cotton filter. Generally, the PP cotton filter may be replaced every 1-3 months, and the activated carbon filter may be replaced every 3-6 months.

• Equipment requirements: If the water cutting machine has high requirements for water quality, in order to ensure the cutting quality and the normal operation of the equipment, the water filter needs to be replaced more frequently. For example, a water cutting machine used to cut high-precision electronic components or special materials may require the water filter to be replaced every 1-2 months to avoid the impact of tiny impurities in the water on the cutting effect.

• In actual use, whether the water filter needs to be replaced cannot be determined solely based on time, but can also be comprehensively judged by observing the water flow, pressure, and cutting effect. If it is found that the water flow rate is significantly reduced, the cutting pressure is insufficient, or there is a quality problem on the cutting surface, it may be that the water filter is blocked or the filtering effect is reduced. At this time, the water filter needs to be replaced in time.
